Title: New member? Introduce yourself here!
Post by: Sheep on December 05, 2006, 09:13:47 AM
Let's kick off (again):

Name: Glenn aka Sheep
Date of birth: 23-10-1975
City: Goes
Country: NL
First PCP live PA: Kotzaak Klan @ Psykorave 1995
Best PCP live PA: PCP live @ Hellraiser 1996
Favourite PCP track: depends on state of mind, but the old Mover tracks always kick bum!

Further I like to travel with my girl. Just came back from a 5,5 week trip through Peru & Ecuador (and Galapagos Islands!). And if there's time left, I try to run this impressive website together with Phuture.

And I'm always pimpin' with my complete PCP vinyl collection...

First PCP live PA: PCP Live @ Mysteryland, Utrecht 1998?
Best PCP live PA: Hypnotizer @ Drop The Bomb I, London
Favourite PCP track: Too many to mention, also depends on the mood but for deep, dark feelings then Frozen or The Mover on Countdown Trax otherwise for spinning at parties then without a doubt The Betrayer.

I've been buying records since 1994 starting with UK breakbeat, then into Euro rave, speedcore and beyond (2000+ and rising).  Big fan of the hard acid sound pioneered by Zekt and Lasse Steen.  Hobbies include partying all over Europe, promoting parties, DJing, graphic design, underground horror movies (hence the DJ name ;) and hyponotherapy although most of my time gets taken up with my work these days - data analysis  >:(

Name: Andreas aka kbm2017
Date of birth: 28-04-1985
City: Korbach
Country: D
Favourite PCP track: all the mover tracks

i'm a real pcp fanatic since 2004... but my first pcp (acardipane) records was in 2000 the resident-e part I cd... my first real pcp was later in 2003/2004 the PCP 069 - LightBringer (Escape From 2017)

what stands the name kbm2017 for?? its very simple, its the licens of my car, a sparkling graphit bmw 118i - "kb" stands for korbach, the "m" for the mover and bwm "m"-power and "2017" for the phuture ;)

Yeah, we're back in bussiness!

Hi, I'm Weltschmerz from the NetherRealms and I love and collect the dark side of PCP-related material. I've been into harcore for 11 and into PCP specifically for 5 years now. Who would have known all those great tracks where produced by one or two individuals? Long live the plastic era!  ;)

I'm also into:

-Doomcore (Fifth Era, Dr. Strange<--where is that guy? :P)
-slow Industrial Hardcore (Armageddon Project, Manu le Malin)
-Darkcore (Outside Agency, Omkara Techichi)
-Technoid Industrial Noise (Sonar, Converter)
-(since recently) French Tek AKA Industrial Jump (Dinamik, Lobotomy Inc.<--this shit can be really cold, gentlemen)

My favourite PCP track is the one in my head ;D

Started listening to house/techno in 92 or so.
started buying vinyl in '95. Very aware of the fact i had missed out on so much good music i tried to make up for at least 2 years, still busy....

Started to collect records early 90s something with UK Breakbeat / Belgium rave stuff (thanks to H8!Machine) and slowly turned to gabber/hardcore and acidic stuff. ~94 started to make own tracks and '95 first live gig. Still do some DJ:ing and live gigs. I like all kinds of darker atmospheric tracks and early stuff (93-95 hardcore). Find my way to this forum via link to Choose live set. Nowdays producing more or less acid/hardacidic stuff (mpc 4000, tb-303, tr-909, mc-202, jp8000.. doing stuff like 303 nation, biochip c, lasse steen and laurent ho). My name might be familiar for some of the ppl from the discogs as i was one of the first hardcore mods and added quite a many records there.

Still looking for that older evil sound PCP and some others had. While i released couple of speedcore records with my friend (as Painwalkers) im not that much into 300bpm+ stuff anymore from the harderside.. maybe older Dead End, Epiteth, Fishkopf sound is also my perfered "industrial sound".

thanks..

Hi all,

since I was just a reader in the old forum,I thought I might aswell introduce myself.

Name:Marcus
Age:34
City:somewhere between Koeln and Bonn
Country:GermAny

I don't really know when or how it all happened, xcept that it must've been mid to end of '93.
I started buying PCP records coz the compilations of that time,at least in my opinion,sucked...sure there were some good ones, but I thought they mostly sucked.Which brought me to continuing the compilation dodging and go for records overall...
I don't really have a favorite track,to me,they all stand out uniquely and transport the moods perfectly.
Anything else thats doomy and dark certainly catches my attention which includes TTC, FifthEra DrStrange,Moleculez,Posthume....just to name a few to give y'all an idea.

That's about it

in diesem Sinne

03. Stickhead & Don Demon - Conquer The World (KOTZ 07)
04. Freez-E-Style - Awake in Neo-Tokyo (LOST 09)

First PCP live PA: Never! (USA)
Favourite PCP track: Alll of it is so awesome!!  I started on this music thanks to Skinner of Black Monolith Recs and got all the Acardipane Records releases, so those hold a special place for me.  Off PCP label though I would have to say PCP005

I never had the cash or chance to grab anything older (not easy in USA), but now trying to get some stuff.  I ended up "moving on" to playing newer hardcore/breakcore but now find myself back interested in the doomcore/good newstyle stuff.. such quality music!

I am also half of an all hardware live PA that does acid techno/experimental/etc, and we're starting to experiment with producing doomcore.

It's great to find such an active community for this stuff, too bad all of you are in europe :)

Favourite track: Apocalypse Never

I got interested in hardcore/gabber around 1995, and after a while ended up with a store in Eindhoven where I worked in the weekends at houseparties selling merchandise. This was nice to cover the expenses of my vinyl collection because I was getting hooked on collecting vinyl and especially the PCP stuff. Nowadays, I'm not collecting active any more but a nice addition to the PCP collection is always a pleasure!

Started buying records in 1992 after being influinced by visiting club Parkzicht in Rotterdam around 1991 many times, when Dj Rob slammed me with "We have arrived " from .. well you know who.
After leaving my record collection at my sister for a few years I had the time for my records again last year and found out that I was a true PCP nut.I love almost everything he made and have many of his records.
Still cannot believe he stopped making Hardcore but respect him for everything he has done for the scene.Hope to hear some new hardcore tracks soon.. I mean it's not 2017 yet..

Favorite track: Mescalinum United:  We have arrived

Respect to the PCP crew and every one involved in this website.

Got into PCP and associated labels thru interest in R&S, 80 Aum, and Tresor.

Fave Track: Nightflight (Still. 18 years on.)

Special Mention: Me On Bass - Structures And Movements
(PCP were underated for slower tracks)

Glad to see that this music still means something to people.

I've been listening PCP records a while now. It started with The Dance Ecstasy Classics 1990 - 1998, that I played over and over again. From there I discovered a lot of good music. I very much love the deep mental space sounds, but on the otherhand also the partyboomers... so i'm glad this forum exsists  8) cheers

hey all

My name is Radi-Kale
also known as Daan Martens
living in Deventer Netherlands

i started going to party's in 1989 (back then acid party's) and grown from great places like Parkzicht (birthplace of gabber) MultiGroove (elementenstraat and later its various stages) into the party circuit and went bigger harder and beter (party's like Thunderdome/Megarave/Rave the citty/Ghosttown/Hellraiser/Nightmare and so on and on).Stil going to party's all over Holland and a smal part of Germany/Belgium.My passion in early rave/earlyhardcore/hardcore/speedcore/terror grown to making flyers and cd/record covers for local Dj's and Party's.Also tried my luck on the wheels of steel but somehow my noobness doesnt make me fit to be a good DJ :) so i keep it to enjoying the music and working in the partyscene (local).I have a extensive collection of records from the early '90's untill now and still do some mixing in my house as hobby but without dreams of getting known or on stage with the masters.Been a fan of P.C.P for a verry long time and noticed i have all records from various sublabels like planet core productions/kotzaak/Dance Ecstacy/Acardipane Records and more. Also i'm one of the few that can say i been to many live acts in holland (even the early ones) and witnessed the introduction(in Holland) of pilldriver hitchhicker at immortality(i think) in Sporthallen zuid Amsterdam (93-94 if i'm not mistaken).

I'm verry glad i found this site and hope to find more knowledge about the label and make some new friends or suply some with info but most of all to have some fun while keeping the scene alive :)

Hello,

I'm Kees. I live in Breukelen, the Netherlands. I'm collecting records since 1989 and started mixing at the end of '93 on a friends turntable set. First PCP live set I witnessed was at Sporthallen Zuid in 93 (Hellraiser). First party was at the Vechtse Banen
in '92 (Newyears Rave).
Styles I like to play the most are acid, techno, tekno and harcore. Actually I'm retired for a few years now, but my brother motivated me to mix my old stuff again and to purchase some missing records to complete my collection.

I produced 1 record with a friend of mine which has a little PCP atmosphere in it. I t was released in 2000 http://www.discogs.com/release/181799

Greets,

Thanks for the props.

Well, my homie MIG has also quit making music. He is playing guitar now he told me :) In fact I have all my equipment still and he sold it all, except his tb303. Also sold all his records. His latest records are also older material.

I still want to make a nefarious 2, but we will see. I still have all my analog synths and drumcomputers and I will try to make a classic hardcore-acid song with my brother in the near future. If it sounds good I intend to put this with all the unreleased nefarious tracks on a 2x12" with permission of my homie Michel (MIG)

But this are all plans for now.

Sounds very cool m8, more music is always welcome :)

And just a question...
If it's not too much effort, could you please check if you, or some of your homies, got a copy left of the "Duister 2"?
Looking for this one for a pretty long time now, maybe you can help me out

Hi,
I'm cotton,
I'm researching for my MA musicology at Bristol University and part of my research is about Cold Rush, if anyone has any media relating to Cold Rush i.e. record reviews in magazines etc it would be useful and much appreciated. Articles can be online or scanned in, translations into english would be useful but not essential. In particular I am writing about Lost 2 track 2.1 Tanochinjii - Fallen Angel, but any general info will do. I would also be interested in hearing peoples opinions about this track and how it makes them feel. With permission your answers may be included in my article. The article will be submitted for publishing in an academic journal at some point in the future.
Please help serious gabber to be taken seriously in the academic world and given the respect it deserves to go down in history along with the classics.

In addition I am a Dj, live engineer and producer and long time fan of pcp hardcore.

Hi Tschabos, forgot to introduce myself:

Name: Tyrone aka Dark T
Date of birth: 01-06-1975
City: Hanau (near Frankfurt)
Country: D
First PCP live PA: PCP @ Mayday, The Judgement Day @ Westfalenhalle Dortmund 30.04.1993
Best PCP live PA: PCP "Germanic" (as listed on Flyer) @Terror Temple, Festhalle Frankfurt, ??. Feb. 1994
Favourite PCP track: too many to mention

I started listening to electonic music in early 1993, but already heard that classic Rotterdam Records stuff since then. The turning point was August 1993, when me and some friends wanted to go to Zürich Street Parade in summer 1993. We wanted to buy tickets for the Energy Rave after the parade, but the Frankfurt recordshop "Dellirium" only had tickets for "Immortality/Hellraiser" in Amsterdam. So that's where my "real" hardcore journey started.
Have to say more???

Hey Tinus,
I still got the mix somewhere on Disc, I only have to make a mp3 in propper bitrate out of it(320kbps should be o.k. :D).
There's only one problem, the mix on the CD is splitted with trackmarkes, so I have to record it from CD-Rom to HD. Hope my damn Vista allows me to do that (On Vista there's no internal recording possible from Wave Out >:D).

thnx for the reply man
I am going to be annoying now hehe
Is the tracklist also available?  o:)

seperate tracks, will do for me...
I can also burn it, as an audio cd
Normally, I use an oldskool program called "Exact Audio Copy"
You can rip mix cd's, with seperated tracks, inot 1 big file
Just let me know...don't know if it runs on Vista though...

welcome to the forum tyrone, what's up with S-G-C these days? and what the hell has happened to frankfurt?? ???

Hi Necro!
Well, what can I say? The S-G-C crew is kind of in the "Everybody is the doing his own thing" mood. Since 3 years I'm living in Hanau, 10km away from Frankfurt and working in a "Gothic  ???" shop for a half year now. The last 3-4 years I only played on 2 or 3  parties.
Don't have so much contact with Kevin or Pascal, I heard Kevin is more into the Hardtechno stuff right now and Pascal is hanging out with Miro. The only one I see often is Michelle's brother Billy, he's living here in Hanau too.

I'm working on a restart, saving money for producing equipment, have to get my ass back to the DJ-booth of some parties again and I want to start to produce some fine dark doom style tracks.(I've got so much ideas in my mind, they must get out!) :shakefist:

And Frankfurt???
Became a fuckin' MINIMAL Techno City (MINIMAL = FUCKING WITHOUT STICKING IT IN!!!)
Beam me back to the old days!!! :'(

it's a shame the scene has taken that direction, the SGC parties were nice. a small but select crowd of followers and high quality music all night long.

i think the forum should resurrect the idea of holding a PCP fan party and hold it in Frankfurt  :boogie:

Well, what can I say? I would like to organize some parties, maybe with splitted dancefloors with different techno styles in it, but the main problem is to find a proper location in Frankfurt. A party in FFM would bring much more people there because it's more central for everybody. But I'm a quite "hard working guy" ;D right now and I'm missing the time to do that.

Of course, that's what I always wanted and the idea will never die!!!

Greet all the guys from the Crossbones crew, would like to pay you a visit someday in the future again.

I have to listen to the mix and then write down the tracklist. Long time ago I listened to it myself.
I'll copy the CD and give you a notice when it's done. You can send me your postal adress then and I'll send you the CD. Easiest way I think.
