Title: PCP samples
Post by: Tinus on January 11, 2007, 09:40:14 PM
Maybe cool to start a topic about samples
Where did the PCP crew got them from?

I just finished watcing "The Lawnmowerman"
pretty cool to see 2 PCP samples in it (and some other hardcore samples)

"Strange Mothrefuker" (from DE2017 SGE)
"I am God here" (from PCP933 vs. evil)

also some smaples from the track "hardcore to the bone"
"You will die in the explosion"

"That's the way i like it baby, i don't wanna live forever!"
--> Motörhead - "Ace Of Spades" (Great song, great album 8) )

Frozen & Dr. Macabre - "Dimension Of The Doomed"
"They're coming to get you, Barbara!"
--> Romero's "Night Of The Living Dead"

"The 45 King - The 900 Number" is sampled for all releases of "9/Nine is a Classic" and "1 Gun-2 Gun-3 Gun Roar!"

And I have seen the movie where they say "I know you're in there, I got your dope" (Conquer the World, Kotz7) but can't remember... thought it was an Ice-T gangster movie or with an other famous rapper.

And the "hardcore muthafcka" sample comes from "Ice-T - First Impression" (track 2 on the album: Ice-T - O.G. Original Gangster)
And another part is taken from the track Ice-T & Evil E - What About Sex (same album)

The radio part of "6 million ways to die" is taken form Snoop Doggy Dogg - W Balls (Doggystyle album). Pretty sure that the words "6 million ways to die" are taken from the track Snoop Doggy Dogg - Serial Killa of that same album. Don't know where the original sample came from.
And the "goodmorning boys n girls" is taken from Snoop Doggy Dogg - You Betta Ask Somebody, again same album.

Dr Dre & Ice T - Natural Born Killaz
"6 million ways to murder....choose one"
inspiration?  ;)

and the broken radio sound, between the intro of Frank Sinatra and the sample "goodmorning boys and girls" is from
Snoop Doggy Dog - "Gin & Juice"
Title: Re: PCP samples

Ice-T?? You mean Ice Cube I guess... And Ice Cube is rapping about 6 million ways to murder
[Ice Cube]
Gi-Gi Gi-Gi Ga-Ga
They call me Da-Da
6 million ways to murder
choose one

...

The text "6 million wayz to die" is used pretty often in rap lyrics btw

@ Shadow:
I know it's not Sinatra, but I just said it, because I know he was the one who made the original, so I thought you could figure that out hehe

@ Sheep:
Not the sample "goodmorning boys and girls"

but...between the intro, and the sample, you hear...kkkkkkkggggggrrrrrrrkkkkkrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggg
you know what I mean?
That is on the end of "Gin & Juice"

and yes...Ice T was incorrect, should have been Ice Cube

DE2020 lyrics:

Tha Alkaholiks - Only When I'm Drunk

I get drunk and I stumble to the phone
And conjure up a bitch to bone when I'm alone
OHh shit, tow back, I need to take a piss
Only when I'm drunk I sing a song like this

I need a chunk, no better yet a hunk of that funk
When I get drunk I might act uncouth
But when I get drunk I always tell the truth
Yeah I'm good, I'm bad, I'm dope, I'm freaky fresh

yes yes
The Liks comin through, you know we gonna blow upop
Hold up, hold up, I think I gotta...
*urrrrrrp*

but only when I'm dr-*urp* drunk

The movie is probably tresspassing with ice cube and ice-t as the bad guy, trying to lure some victims of circumstance out of their hideout.

i have to see the movie again to be shure.
