as of now the SHOCKS crew is officially retired, meaning - we don't put on any events at all at the time being = a pcp party in sweden is now very unlikely, you'll need to sort it elsewhere.

i myself will start leading a peaceful suburban desperate housewife sort of life..only playing records, not organizing events

but:

Nosebleed III!!

Yes then.

If this is what "we all" wanna do..

It brings us back to the breaking question of: who can set the main PCP-booking up?

My team can do everything in the above concept, except that.
Who will save the day, taking care of that one..?

nekro made a good point.

what I had in mind was something along the lines of:

PCP ORIGINAL CORE BOOKINGS
1 x major pcp original artist, that none of the swedish partygoers will have heard about but we hype the fuck out of - a booking using up the larger part of the party budget..
2 - 4 x complementary pcp forum addicts, again unknown in sweden but "cool by association" - and paying their own expenses for being a part, we'll provide food + beer..

CROWD PLEASERS
1 - 3 x uk doom squad/gabba artists that the swedish crowd already like
2 - 4 x complementary local swedish acts, playing far-from-pcp-stuff-core but giving them people a chance to clap some hands and shoot their youtube-reels while we drink beer and behave badly backstage..

such a night should draw some 150-200 people and a non-suicide budget should be possible.
but the point nekro made: is this the night you other lot had in mind??

so.

what's the status for this idea as of now?

is the best option we have now to do it in sweden?
or does anybody else want to make it happen elsewhere in europe...

if we shall do it here, the organisation team must now be strenthened:
--> we need somebody with good pcp connections to take care of the bookings.

meaning: our local team would sort all necessities concerning venue, PA, marketing, ticket sales (online all currencies system) - and last but not least, both financing and guests.. but in order to set up the pcp headlines for this night we need not only your (much appreciated) support, but for someone of you to take responsibility for actually doing it..sending the booking propositions, making the phone calls etc etc.

meanwhile, we'll keep working on the MARK N night, coming up this july (www.shocks.se).. as of now, that is what's keeping us occupied 24/7. . . !

you gotta get miro to perform and in the original style otherwise there's no other PCP artists that will play, then the concept will fall apart.

öhm, what is the problem with marc?

marc and/or miro, the way I see it..

until what time is possible to "end" the party, cause I see that the old Shocks party where playing till 2 / 3 A.M. ?

end time always depend on choice of venue, for this one we'd keep it going until the morning (6-8 A.M)..

"coming over" would mean gothenburg, sweden - that's where we're based, luckily these days well connected to mainland europe with lowcost airlines.. and for ppl from germany there's also the possibility of using the ferrry over, bringing the car etc..

we DO have PA, venue and a solid (small but sufficent) crowd base - party will be 150-200 ppl, no doubt. and of course you'll bring all the friends you can bribe..it'll be an open (but pre sale only) event.

the concept the way i see it requires at least one original pcp artist to perform..otherwise it's just another fan night and not AS interesting. budget should be built to survive one-two such bookings, incl. of course his/their trip, hotel, food and unlimited supply of beer and blonde swedish teen girls (.. . .. !), then my hope is there'll be enough die hard pcp addicts on this forum that will be willing to travel over on their own expense for playing @ the party and drinking all our booze + not having to pay tickets etc etc, that way we can build a real solid line-up that'll shut everybody up and make 'em sign up for tickets.

so the questions now are three: who's up for coming over, being a part? has anybody got better personal connections for making the pcp artist bookings? we can probably do it ourselves too but maybe somebody can work it out more easily.. and, finally: do we believe in this idea, shall we make it happen - a PCP Official Memorial Night Special, Gothenburg Sweden, november 2008?? ? or not!

allright so. have been thinking a bit more about this one. and it could (should?) be done. maybe "already" this winter - 2008. assuming I'd have: 1-2 persons of the forum who's seriously intresested in getting involved + 2-5 people who's interested in coming over (on own expense, low cost airlines) to build the base for a line-up (then further "proper" bookings can be made in addition), it might happen. the venue, PA and guests etc etc we'll work out locally but if this is gonna be a proper PCP Memorial Night, then it should stand on an international foundation - right..? and that means you guys.  :)

It could also quite easily be done in Sweden. We have a venue, a soundsystem and a good dedicated fanbase of some 100-150 people. But that's only if you true PCP contributors are willing to travel. And yes, we ARE connected to the low cost airlines.

not going either
but maybe the next one ???  8)

Fair enough mate, and considering that's gonna be in 2017 - what could go wrong, eh..  :boogie:
And by the way..this Nosebleed II night in november - is now ** SOLD OUT ** ..!

Yeah, so - we do it Swedish style once more.

This time larger than ever with the long awaited follow up to our first event ever, one full decade ago - Nosebleed I, back in 1997.

So guess Nosebleed III will be - the year of PCP, 2017, then.

But already now: some of the darkest, most top class doomcore acts this continent knows @ one night of real scandinavian darkness.

And please note: Gothenburg is connected to many of the european low cost airlines, so if you usually go to London or NL - check this one out as well...

Very limited (150!) TICKETS on sale now at www.nosebleed2.com - send me a PM if you need help, it's in a language spoken by close to no one..  :shakefist:

/b.
