When it comes to Hardcore, Vinyl is gonna die, accept it or not. The small labels have no money to release them cause nearly everyone plays digital nowadays.

The Horrorist – Joyless Pleasure

The beautiful new haunting album from indie electronic producer Oliver Chesler, The Horrorist. Themes of love and madness play out over meticulously arranged sad songs. There is a certain type of music listener that will love this work. If your music collection contains Antony Hegarty, Portishead, Joy Division, Kraftwerk, Leonard Cohen, Daniel Johnston and/or the Magnetic Fields Joyless Pleasure is a must have.

6. Hostage
7. Triangle
8. Lovely Sweet
9. I Stand with You
10. Born this Way

Release date: May 13, 2011

Digital Download: iTunes, Amazon, Beatport
CD: Amazon

“the horrorist new album “joyless pleasure” is out today on things to come records. softer and surprisingly romantic but still full of energy and extremely tortured. you can’t put one style tag on the album. in the 1st track “modern” the voice will make you think of ian curtis, joy division. “joyless pleasure” has a high depeche mode feel with ultra pure and detailed synths sounds and effects. “darkling lullaby”, “love sick” and “lovely sweet” are islands in the horrorist universe as they are not dance tracks. “hostage” takes us on an electroclash direction and “i stand with you” in pure ebm style with a nitzer ebb impression. an album more mature than ever, more melancholic. even if we can compare some songs to other people’s sounds, there is one thing that will always belong to the horrorist and be unique like this album: it’s his strange stories. joyless pleasure is like a jewelry piece but in electronic music.” – morganistik.com

Newsflash / Re: Vail05 The Hypnotizer - Everything Is Nothing
« on: January 08, 2011, 09:55:18 PM »
I found a low quality (64 kb/s) download of 'twilight racer' on a German site.

http://www.gabbers-gegen-rassismus.de/downloads-techno.html

I don't think it sounds like a typical Hypnotizer track (very standard techno), so maybe it's the wrong track. There are no lyrics, but it has a bit of that 'normality is insanity'-feel.

The owner of this site got this track from me. :) I got it from Sven:BM. It was a free-track released by Miro on his old website. I can't remember if it was tagged as Miro or Hypnotizer. Maybe I tagged the track as Hypnotizer and so it is available on this site again.

You might want to listen to another track at that site called 'XTC Sleepwalker' (112 kb/s), apparently also produced by Miro. It has a Mover-like theme going on.

If anyone has these track in better quality, I would be happy to get them. ;)

Yeah, I also like XTC Sleepwalker. Riddlez is also nice. Don't think that anyone here has theme accept Miro himself. They were available in this quality on his site.

So you mean its NOT from Miroslav?

Nope. ;) http://www.myspace.com/isaakhypnotizer I allmost lost hope completely after listening to the tracks you posted. This would be a disaster after the shitty stickhead release from him. I want dark :shit: under Hypnotizer and nothing else. >:D

Very strange release. I would categorize this sound as minimal/hypnotic speedcore.  ;D You can hear that he isn't really into hardcore anymore.
