Planet Core Productions was founded in April 1989 by Marc Acardipane and Thorsten Lambart (aka Slam Burt) after getting numerous rejections from several labels in order to get their music released.
It was only a couple of years later they decided to take control of the distribution as well. PCD (Planet Core Distribution) was called in life to handle all the business that comes with distribution. As this wasn't enough, they even opened a recordstore called No Mercy Records (later to become a label as well) at some point, but it took only a few years before they closed it down again.
In late '96 PCP transmitted their last signal from the future. Some say it was the result of a bankruptcy others say there were musical differences between Marc & Thorsten.
There are some gaps in the discography. PCP CD 4 and PCP 011 were announced as The Mover - Final Sickness, but never got pressed. Only the vinyl made it to the stores later as PCP 932. There are also some records released on PCP as well as on Dance Ecstasy 2001.
