UFO Recods (London) up and running again!
« on: March 01, 2007, 03:04:17 PM »
This might interest some of you, UFO released some really cool records back in the day...

Started in 1995 as a vinyl label and hailing from the South London (UK), UFO London began with the intention of pushing all forms of hard Techno to the Global Underground.

During it's short lived first outing onto the global stage, the label managed to get 7 quality releases out there, with genres ranging from experimental Techno through to Hard Acid and visiting some sick Industrial Techno and Gabba on the way and from artists such as VDD Energize, DJ Valium (now Valyom), Somatic Responses and Choose (Lasse Steen / Zekt) to name a few.

The production quality of every release was kept to the highest standard, making each one stand out from many of the other pressings coming out around the same time.

Alas, after three years UFO London was no more as Lee, the label manager, moved out of the country for a new life at the foot of the mountains.

But now..... the label is working towards picking up where it left off. We aim to bring out the back catalogue in digital format and then get some new material out there. The label direction will still be Techno, although the times dictate that not all of our releases will follow our old path and we'll be releasing Techno thats much more accessible to all.

We hope you'll join us in our new journey!

I was speaking to the label owner and he said he wasn't sure whether to release straight techno or continue with the original concept, of course i told him to release more hardcore techno and hard acid
