Yeah almost a year now. The problem was that the streamhost went dead. Searching for another host I realised that the total cost of this project was a bit to high for me. The host is maybe a few quid a month, but there is also a stream client running and consuming 30 watt every hour.

But it's not over yet.. I found a host where you can also store the tracks on it. So it will be mixed by the autodj function of the host. Don't now how that sounds but I will look to it sooner then later.

Will keep you posted :)

Hi all.

I'm a new member here and just discovered your stream on the Shoutcast list. However, although it plays fine on my Mac using VLC for some reason it refuses to play on my Squeezebox Touch. The stream loads, buffers and then nothing happens.

I hope this is just a glitch as I'd love to be able to listen to this on the hi-fi system.

Welcome Nick_G!

The stream is back online since yesterday so I'm still testing things. Maybe the problem is that the streams output is 128kbs aac+ instead of mp3. Don't know if your Sqeeuzebox has the latest firmware?

[edit]
Did some changes and the output is mp3 at the moment. Don't know what the future will be but still testing ;)

Thanks for the quick response.

Yes my Squeezebox usually plays 128k aac+ streams with no problems. I have several stored in my Favourites and was hoping to add PCP  ;) So I'm puzzled as to why it won't play.

Edit: it still won't play despite now being in MP3 format. The odd thing is the track title information is showing on the screen.

You can always expect a quick response at planet-core.com o:)

But strange behaviour. Here is some log info:

<06/23/11@15:45:39> [dest: 46.**.***.***] starting stream (UID: 5)[L: 3]{A: libwww-perl/5.837}(P: 2)
<06/23/11@15:45:39> [dest: 46.**.***.***] connection closed (0 seconds) (UID: 5)[L: 2]{Bytes: 20125}(P: 2)
<06/23/11@15:46:09> [dest: 79.***.**.***] starting stream (UID: 6)[L: 3]{A: iTunes/4.7.1 (Unix; N; linux; x86_64-linux; EN; utf8) SqueezeNetwork/7.5.4-sn/TRUNK}(P: 2)
<06/23/11@15:46:09> [dest: 79.***.**.***] connection closed (0 seconds) (UID: 6)[L: 2]{Bytes: 17097}(P: 2)
<06/23/11@15:46:09> [dest: 95.***.**.***] starting stream (UID: 7)[L: 3]{A: iTunes/4.7.1 (Unix; N; linux; x86_64-linux; EN; utf8) SqueezeNetwork/7.5.4-sn/TRUNK}(P: 2)
<06/23/11@15:46:29> [dest: 95.***.**.***] connection closed (19 seconds) (UID: 7)[L: 2]{Bytes: 560000}(P: 2)

I see that with every new connection it's connecting from a different IP number. Don't know what's up with that. Tomorrow I will test it with my own (different) mediaplayer.

I've just tried the stream again on the Squeezebox and it's now working :D

Are you going to switch back to aac+? It'll definitely sound better on the hi-fi.

No - I'm getting the same problem as before on the Squeezebox. The stream loads up but won't play. Seems to have been like this for a few days now  :(

Ok I changed to MP3 again... but now with some extra benefits. If you click on the stream link at the shortcuts block to the left you can see a new section below the stream information. If you click on "all" you can see all the tracks in the playlist sorted by label. You can click on any track to hear a small preview, or select one or more tracks and click below on the request button and then on send requests so you can add them to the queue list!
[edit] Don't know why but here is a flash player... :o
