Saw a great movie? Or a bad one? Write your reviews!
-
(http://www.horroria.com/i/nposters/07/30/73089-HY.jpg)
Nothing on TV yesterday, so I downloaded rent Saw III (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0489270/) and watched it with my girl. We saw Saw II in
NY and she couldn't sleep afterwards >:D
But part III wasn't as good as the first two parts. When it ended she fell asleep and dreamt about flowers growing in the sun ;)
There are some nice twists and gory scenes, but for me a bit too much deja-vu's. If I rate it from 1-10, I would give it a 7.
-
You're right. I have to say that the first 2 parts have some stupid things in it but the endings where great and a big surprise.
I'm going to "rent" Identity (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0309698/) now. Sounds like a better version of Mindhunters (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0297284/) so I don't think it will be a disapointment.
-
The last really great film I saw was DEAD MANS SHOES by Shane Meadows, a British film with a really dark twist at the end - recommended.
-
I haven't seen Saw, Saw 2 or Saw 3, and I really don't want to.
I watched 'Christiane F: Wir kinder vom bahnhoff Zoo', a true based story of a 13 year old heroin-addicted girl in Berlin. Really liked it because of the roughness and the cruelty.
-

They aren't so bad Smoghly and they have nice twists. Not exactly a standard "and they lived happily ever after" plot.

No, but I think they are way overdone. I like subtile plotlines.
-
Nah... the first one was released long before it became popular. Maybe no. II and III are a bit overdone, but hey, watch the first one and tell me again your findings.

ye c.f. was nice
nice music too
i ve even read the book hehe and i m not a big reader
haven t seen saw II / III yet
will see them one day
-
saw was good at the start when they where in that room, but it quickly became boring after that. the twists where good, but that only covered up a frankly boring film.
part 2 had some of the worst acting i have ever seen. it was terrible, a decent twist, but it was a bit predictable to be honest.
part 3 was utter tripe. a pure money spinning excercise with some of the most pointless graphic pornographic gore scenes i have seen in a mainstream film. utter shit.
anyone see the departed? its a wicked film, one of the best i have seen this year. not seen the films it was based on however, but the acting in this is incredible. everyone is on top form, highly recommend it. di caprio is becoming one of my fav actors of the moment, seen his new one "blood diamond" as well, really good although his accent is a bit shit in it, its well acted.

No, because I won't like it :) because of my very big preconceptions (vooroordelen) about it.
-
...anyone seen "Severed - Forest Of The Dead"?? I'm going to buy it, 'cause I love walkin'-dead-movies.... 8)
-
Saw 1 was he only cool part for me
And I allready saw it 6 months before it was in the cinema's here
part 2 and 3 were, like everyone says, overdone
Christian F is really good, even bought it original :)

I went to a movie monday night.... and it was soooo cruel.....
The great ecstacy of Robert Carmichael
It's about a intelligent boy with some very very very bad friends.
I kinda liked it but I felt horrible after watching it. Especially the end is very nasty.
-
just saw Hard Candy
damn :o
liked it, but it's harsh hehe
-
It's about a intelligent boy with some very very very bad friends.
Just like you with your evil twin friends Tinus & Vague >:D

Please, don't say I'm like R. Carmichael. I know I've got my crazy things, but that guy really is SICK!!! :D
-
@ Shadow

you're starting to act like Vague...
and dude, fuck DIVX
how can you watch it?
I bought me a External HD of 300 Gb, with 16 mb cache for 269 euro's
That was in 2005
So they should be much cheaper now
Nice and easy, plug and play :)
-
what's wrong with divx
2cd dvdrip works fine by me
-
- Children of Men
If the bierdrink will be on sunday at utrecht I can arrange the dvd for you
-
nice thnx
@ shadow
because it's a waste of cd's
or do you burn then on CD-RW?
I personally don't like the quality that much with compressed movies
but, that can also vary, animated movies are sometimes just as good as on DVD...
-
i don't burn anything
watch m from hd and delete m afterwards
if it's that good that i wanna see it again i'll buy the dvd

saw, night at the museum and pursuit of happiness over the past few days.
night at the museum is a fun film, bit stupid, but its for kids so go figure. all the acting is really good though, especially steve coogan and owen wilson as the roman and the cowboy. some good laughs, but mostly a kids film.
pursuit of happiness is a decent enough film. not really as good as i expected it to be mind, but still a decent film nonetheless.

ye I saw it @ filmfestival rdam
allready heard some stuff about that it was evil
but didn t expect it be like that

Saw the movie Crank last night. Some evil software put it on my HD...
http://imdb.com/title/tt0479884/
Plot: Professional assassin Chev Chelios learns his rival has injected him with a poison that will kill him if his heart rate drops.
I found it a great movie! It has it all: great music, good humor, some nice action, no fancy 007 shit, little bit of public sex (ooh-la-la), not tradionally filmed and it's fast. Recommended!
-
Hehe, sounds nice Glenn.
I saw a great movie last night too. But I allready saw it a several times:
Beavis and Butt-head do America ;D
-
I've also seen Crank a couple of months ago
was pretty cool indeed
but I think that the dude...Jason Stratham is far ovr rated last 2 years
I first saw him in "Lock, Stock and 2 smoking barrels" & "Snatch"
Where I thought he did quite a good job
after that I saw him in....
The transporter (1 en 2)
Revolver
and I really think these were not so cool, just because this "Jason" is acting the same in every last movie I've seen of him
-
Is that a reason to dislike an actor?
So you are saying Chuck Norris is a bad actor?
Hopefully for you Tinus, Chuck isn't on this board...
-
doesn't matter
chuck norris knows all
-

I don't know
Actors don't write scripts
but as an actor, you can always cancel an acting chance, to show you can also act in different kind of movies
Jason gets roles as same kinds of perons
you know what I mean?
-
If someone's nocking on your door Tinus, it's probably Chuck Norris!

I don't think you know what I mean: Chuck Norris can cancel EVERYTHING!!!
-
whahahaa, oldskool last century hero

downed it but stopped watching after 15 mins
annoying actors, annoying acting, annoying movie
-
Luckily we have a different taste... ;)
-
a couple of years ago i saw the last good film .. maybe i set the same high standarts in films than in music..
it was takashi shimizu's "Ju-On 2".. this film is one of the spookiest and weirdest films i have ever seen.. okay.. in the end the director inclines to inordinateness..
on the cover of the film was the sentences "if you had problems with sleeping after watching ju-on 1 you wont even think about sleeping after part 2" man.. i thought that it was written by a wuss or a girl.. but damn.. he was fucking right.. i really couldn't sleep after that..
there is a crappy us-version of "ju-on 2" called "the grudge 2" with this bocy-selling buffy actress.. if you are a wuss.. watch the us version.. if you are hard like me.. go to the video-library and watch the japanese version..
i saw "saw" as well.. part 1 and 2.. i really must say that part 1 was a great film.. but its always the same with continuations.. they suck.. like blair witch project.. part 1 was fucking awesome and part 2 was a unnecessary american hollywood production.. i dont know if im going to watch saw 3.. i really dont think that it will be as good as the first part..
-
Ju-on rocks!
I had that original Japanese version on DVD way before that crappy remake came out.
I saw Mulholland Drive today. Allready knew it, but it still is a great movie. I bet with my girlfriend that she wont understand it, but she did hehe
-
I know its a few years old but 'Battle Royal' allways does it for me.
-
World Trade Centre » one word: crap
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0469641/
Zwartboek » Finally a good Dutch WWII movie (and as with all Dutch movies some boobs (nice couple, Carice van Houten!) are passing the screen)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0389557/
-
Haven't seen a 007 movie for ages so I decided to type in Casino.Royale.Xvid.AxxO.DVD-r.i.p. in the search bar on my computer and hoped it was on my harddisk.
Converted it to DVD and watched it. Wasn't as good as espected but found it entertaining. I'll give it a 6/10.
-
Wasn't as good as espected but found it entertaining.
Isn't that a good explanation for all 007 movies? ;)
-

Isn't that a good explanation for all 007 movies? ;)
:D
I also don't really like the 007 stuff
but I have to say that all the 007 movies from "Goldeneye" on, where just crap
maybe it has also something to do about me not liking Pierce as Bond
-
The Prestige
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0482571/
Nice acting, good plot & twist.
Now you're looking for the secret... but you won't find it because you're not really looking. You don't really want to know the secret... You want to be fooled.
-

Blood Diamond http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450259/
Besides some Rambo look-a-like actions (by Leonardo) it is a good movie and very interesting story about 1 of Africa's problems. Would recommend this movie.
-

Into the Wild (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0758758/): Boring and not even the real true story
Plot: A young man leaves his middle class existence in pursuit of freedom from relationships and obligation. Giving up his home, family, all possessions but the few he carried on his back and donating all his savings to charity Christopher McCandless (Emile Hirsch) embarks on a journey throughout America.
The Bank Job (http://www.http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0200465/): Great to see that robbing a bank can be successful!
Plot: Based on the true story of the 1971 Baker Street bank robbery which was prevented from being told for over thirty years because of a Government gagging order. The real story of how one of the biggest robberies in British history took place with no arrests ever made nor money ever recovered.
