The year 2009 is the anniversary year of the Raving Nightmare concept. For 15 years this concept has withstand the ups & downs in the hardcore scene. This milestone gives UHM an occasion to celebrate this 15 year anniversary in a appropriate way. For this German edition we enter a new and virgin territory. After the blazing Dutch 2008 edition we decided to add a third area to this years Dutch edition. Another thing to expect is the release of a 3-DVD box compilation with (archive) video footage of the Raving Nightmare concept from the 1995-2008 period.

Like past editions the first half of 2009 will be dominated by the German edition of Raving Nightmare. Ever since 2004 succesful German editions took place. From sold-out editions in Cologne (ex Tarm Center 2004-2007) toward a sold-out Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen 2008 the concept showed its expansion. In 2009 the 15th Anniversary of the concept will be celebrated in an even more spectacular surrounding, a location which has been a goal for the organization from day 1! It was a heavy task to tie the ends for this location. After many hours of painstaking work the okay reached us halfway 2008, and the preparations were initiated.

Raving Nightmare – Laws Unwritten Update
With only 5 weeks to go, preparations and production are the main concern in the UHM office. The international interest for this event is huge! Visitors from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands will make the trip to Oberhausen. For a while now the line-up with nothing less than Topacts in Hardcore and Early Rave has been out. So time for a first update about this German Raving Nightmare Edition which will take place at April 4th 2009 at the in de König-Pilsner-Arena in Oberhausen.

Location and production
If you’re curious about the location the Kopi feel free to check de König Pilsener Arena.
This outstanding location has been the stage for many worldly artists with their mega concerts and now it will become the temple of Hardcore. Exceptional, because it ain’t often that an hardcore is the host for a Hardcore event. It will be the first time that UHM will present Raving Nightmare in this location, with the intention that the event in the years to come will also happen here. A good reason for giving some extra, extra thought to production and technique, so the standards will be set for the next few years.
Remember the LED in the main area at the Mecc in Maastricht last year? It will appear once again… The artwork will present itself in a magnificent 3D visuals show. And next to that a spectacular trussing design has been made through which the lasers will find their way. The surprising live entertainment cannot be missed at this event. And ofcourse, high on the list: no sound limits and maximum use of the PA system!
The second area is hidden under the platform from the Arena and is perfectly arranged to let the Early Rave and Old Skool beats flow into an intimate atmosphere. In this area old movies and images from several Raving Nightmare editions from all over shall be shown non-stop!

Transport, Route and parking
For those who have visited any event in the nearby Turbinenhalle by the Köpi Arena is easy to find.
The Köpi Arena is at less than 500 mtrs from the famous Turbinenhalle. The Köpi arena lies next to the biggest indoor Mall of the Ruhr-area , the CentrO. Next to the arena there are many covered parkings where you can park your care, which is Free! The König-Pilsener-Arena is clearly signed out when entering the city of Oberhausen. From the central-train-station of Oberhausen (hauptbahnhof) you can reach the arena by any train, streetcar or bus which heads towards Sterkrade/ Neue Mitte. The bus/train/streetcar-stop “Neue Mitte” is directly in front of the Köpi Arena!
From different countries bustrips are being organized to this event, including all in trips(including hotel & late check-out. Check the websites of organizations near you.

LÖÖÖÖL, ;D
Necro hits the point!
The comprehension of sweet sound is our most indefinite conseption. Music when comined with a pleasurable idea is poetry. Music without an idea is simply music. Without music or an intriguing idea, colour becomes pallar, man becomes carcass, home becomes catacombs and the dead... motionless.
