Experience ?
« on: June 15, 2010, 04:50:02 AM »
A few years age i sold / swapt a whole lot of records. I digitalized the best tracks with a program called Magix. If i hear the cd's nowadays i start crying.
Jesus christ why did i sell these records.

Anyway my question is if there is somebody on the forum who has experience with USB-turntables. I will not sell any more records but want the whole PCP collection(exept for the 4 records i'm still missing) on CD.

How is the sound?

Dunno man, no xp with USB TT's
I always use my PC to record the records
I just use "Nero Wave Editor"
From the "Nero Burning ROM"

Works here...

You don't have decks anymore?

I did some research in the past about digitizing vinyl. I think the most important product is your cartridge/needle. You should use a Ortofon Nightclub E. It gives the best sound quality. But a good turntable is also important. A correctly alligned/adjusted SL1200/1210 is good enough. And maybe from that you can hook up the turntable to a, for example, Terratec usb phono preamp.

But I have to say I don't have experience with this and also not with USB Turntables.
